    Now that Christmas is over and you are recovered from the New Year's celebrations, here's a way to re-use the corks you popped during the holidays season. I found this cool cork how-to over on Design Sponge and made a few as Christmas gifts.

     

     

     
    *Simply collect your corks
    *Cut them into thin slices.
    *Sew the corks together with mix-matched thread.

    With a clever trick, a recycled CD case becomes a cool display for a desk calendar. Make your own calendar design, or download my pirate-themed calendar*. In Windows, Right click and Save Link As to save it.

    Project Materials:

    • CD case
    • Paper
    • Computer printer or copy machine
    • Paper cutter (not required, but helpful!)

     

     

    To make:
