Very cool. They're serious about leather needles though! I tried sewing leather without one, and almost had the tip of my needle fly into my eye!

      lol!! BECAREFULL thr!!

    • Mea (guest) wrote on October 24, 11:01 am

looks great, but I would never wear a costume that would keep me from holding a drink.

    • kewlmomma wrote on October 23, 10:29 am

Great tut guys. I'm thinking about making this for my 15 year old son. The thing is it would be too tempting to leave it on after Halloween (lol).

    • Kathleen (guest) wrote on October 22, 4:13 pm

Awesome idea! My roommate and her boyfriend were looking for a couple's costume, but there aren't many he said he would be "manly" enough in. When I saw this tutorial, I suggested nurse and crazy guy and they loved it! You guys are lifesavers. Now, if only one of THEM could sew, then I could get out of making it.... :)

    • mamajh (guest) wrote on October 22, 4:07 pm

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. My 11 year old son wants to be a crazy person for Halloween and I was trying to figure out how to make him and inexpensive straight jacket. This is FANTASTIC!

    • Needle_Threader wrote on October 22, 3:22 pm

Wow, i love the skit at the begining, pure genious.
haha let me put the sleeves on!!
the strait jacket is a cool idea, i might have to try it =)

    • dancing_through_life wrote on October 21, 4:28 pm

is it spelled strait jacket or straight jacket?

    • Jezabeth wrote on October 20, 11:36 pm

This is an amazing idea. I have a weird obsession for straight jackets and now i cant make my own. Iv kinda been in a slump lately, and seeing this inspired me to get out of that slump and make something. So i created a mini top hat. The best part, its completely no sew. Sorry im getting off topic. Anyways, i love the show and i love you guys.

    • crowded autumn (guest) wrote on October 19, 8:15 pm

I have an unnatural love for your show, but I was hoping I could make a suggestion.

I think incorporating viewer submitted videos is such a great idea but I have a very hard time hearing what is being said. Do you think it would be possible for you to add subtitles for those of use are hearing impaired?

    • James Haskin (guest) wrote on October 19, 4:20 pm

I love your show but I'm not diggin these cotton advertisements. Don't get me wrong, cotton is a great fabric but I think hemp is better suited for a lot of them. Maybe you should inform your viewers on the matter.

    • Katzilla (guest) wrote on October 19, 2:41 pm

Oh jeez, I had a needle shatter on me once and a piece smaller than a pencil tip struck me on the forehead ): It sucked.

    • Mery (guest) wrote on October 19, 5:09 am

      Love the intro...

    • ButterflyDemise wrote on October 19, 4:28 am

    • PhilthyPhil wrote on October 17, 6:07 pm

hey i love the straight jacket. i used to have one in high school.... no comments.... any ways if you do the belt that comes up over the arms right you can actually escape from it, just for fun. LATER!

    • ~Jellyheart~ (guest) wrote on October 17, 5:42 pm

Hahaha that was really awesome! :D Poor Roob..i like the tut! Thanx

    • ink_bottle wrote on October 17, 4:23 pm

LMAO I totally made a straight jacket in the 12th grade. all I did was take an old cotton painter's drop cloth, traced the general shape of a t-shirt then made the sleeves really long. I made it a pullover so there's no easy escape. I had no straps so i just crossed my arms and got someone to tie my sleeves together. Just mess up your hair, make dark circles under your eyes and voila! My best costume next to my Sally costume.

    • Lindsey (guest) wrote on October 17, 4:19 pm

i LOVED this episode, I was cracking up so much! Nice job.
