Cool Website Alert: Dollar Store Crafts!

This fabulous new blog is by the editor of CROQ craft zine and blog, Heather Mann, and is full of awesome projects made with items purchased at dollar stores, in dollar sections of stores, and for $1 or less at discount stores. Heather finds projects all over the crafty web and reposts them with their estimated cost, assuming you have crafty basics on hand, like glue, scraps of fabric, paper, etc. Projects range from fairly complex, like this amazing cassette tape wallet ($1.25) by reese52...

...and this mosiac plate ($7) by HSG on craftster:

then there are some great super simple projects like tattooed soap ($2 for 3 bars) by johanna on soap queen...

...and this coffee sack bulletin board (about $3) by maya*made:

If you're into cheap crafty, definitely subscribe to this blog's feed! And I want to mention one other bloggy thing Heather is doing because it's too cute - she is contributing to the blog little nummies with food crafts like this guitar sandwich:

Isn't Heather awesome? Yes!

Wow those are all so rad, I love the tat soap.
Wow, thanks for mentioning my site, Lee!
I would love that cassette tape wallet exponentially more if it wasn't Depesche Mode... nothing personally, I just used to know a skeezy dude who loved to do DM/Hannah Montana/Hilary Duff remixes and I'm still in therapy.
